Liturgy of the Hours

The Liturgy of the Hours is a part of the official liturgical prayer of the Church. It is not personal or devotional prayer. Rather, it extends the prayer, praise, petitions, and the foretaste of heavenly glory that are present in the Mass into the different hours of the day.

Wherever we are, we have an opportunity to join together with the whole Church in the one unending hymn of praise.

This is the day which the Lord has made:
let us rejoice and be glad in it

Ps 118: 24

Rediscover the Meaning of Sunday

Every Sunday is a mini-Easter, a day of restful joy, a day to be re-created in Christ. On Sunday we are invited in a special way to participate in the Paschal Mystery—the life, death, and resurrection of Christ—especially through our participation in the liturgy where we can offer the greatest glory to God, be filled with grace, and invigorated for Mission.
